North Hills participating in A Community of Music 2025 Dec. 5-6

North Hills music students will again play a large role in this year’s A Community of Music celebration hosted by North Hills Cares at the Block Northway on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6.

A Community of Music is North Hills Cares’ largest annual fundraiser showcasing music from local school districts, holiday cheer, and fun for all ages. Friday evening kicks off with a concert featuring talented student ensembles, while Saturday is Kids Day, packed with games, crafts, activities, Santa visits, and performances throughout the day. There will also be a basket raffle, concessions and a "Fill the Sleigh" food drive to support neighbors in need.

Friday’s festivities will begin at 6 p.m. The North Hills High School Chamber Strings Orchestra, Jazz Band and North Hills Singers will perform as follows:

  • 6:30 PM - North Hills Chamber Orchestra
  • 7:20 PM - North Hills Singers
  • 8:45 PM - North Hills Jazz Band

On Saturday, North Hills band and orchestra students will perform beginning at 10 a.m. as follows:

  • 10:00 AM - North Hills Elementary Band Grade 4
  • 10:30 AM - North Hills Elementary Band Grade 5
  • 11:00 AM. - North Hills Elementary Band Grade 6
  • 2:00 PM - North Hills Elementary Orchestra

Free photos with Santa are from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and at 3 p.m., all attendees can participate in a drum circle with professional drum circle facilitator Matt Price.

Please note that all performance times are approximate.

There is no cost to attend either day but attendees are encouraged to help support the “Fill the Sleigh” food drive by bringing non-perishable family-sized food items to fill the sleigh! Monetary donations will also be accepted.
