Elementary Parent Reading and Math Workshop/Title I Meeting to be held Oct. 8

Elementary Parent Reading and Math Workshop/Title I Meeting to be held Oct. 8
Heather Pelat

Parents and guardians from all elementary schools in the North Hills School District are invited to an Elementary Parent Reading and Math Workshop/Title I Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Ross Elementary School.

The event, funded by Title I Parent and Family Engagement, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a short introduction and overview in the Ross Elementary auditorium.

Parents will then attend two workshops of their choosing to learn about support programs as well as Title I funding at Highcliff and West VIew. Studies show that children with families who are engaged in their education are confident, motivated learners with better social skills and classroom behavior and in turn, earn higher grades. The workshops aim to equip parents with tools, strategies and resources needed to be able to help and support their child(ren) at home in reading and math.

We are asking that parents who plan to attend RSVP at this link no later than Friday, October 3.
While RSVP is not required, having an approximate number of attendees will help us better plan the event.

This event is for ADULTS ONLY. No children please.

This event is not a parent teacher conference time. Parent-teacher conferences will be held Nov. 3 and Nov. 4. Teachers will share a link to sign up for a conference via ClassDojo in October.
