Celebrating Excellence: Nominate a North Hills grad for the Distinguished Alumni Award
Heather Pelat

The North Hills School District Distinguished Alumni program began in 2011 as a way to honor graduates of North Hills High School and the former West View High School.

We are always accepting new nominations for distinguished alumni. To qualify, nominees must be alumni of North Hills High School or the former West View High School and graduated at least 10 years ago.

Recipients are announced each February and then recognized with a special dinner and high school tour in May. Recipients also serve as featured speakers at North Hills High School’s annual Senior Awards Night and receive a plaque on the Distinguished Alumni wall in the LGI room at the North Hills Middle School.

Distinguished Alumni nominations are evaluated based upon outstanding contributions made in nominees’ chosen profession, record of academic achievement, professional and/or business accomplishments as well as community or civic consciousness.

Past winners have included noted physicians, a humanitarian, scientists, entrepreneurs and a judge as well as a groundbreaking educator.

Nominations to be included in the following year's selection are due each year by Nov. 15.
