North Hills to participate in Ross Township Community Day Celebration

The North Hills School District is excited to be part of Ross Township's annual Community Day celebration on Sunday, June 28, and invites families, students, staff and community members to join in a day of hometown fun and celebration.

The festivities begin with the Ross Township Independence Day Parade at 3 p.m. along Perry Highway through Perrysville. Keep an eye out for the North Hills High School Marching Band and the North Hills Foundation as they make their way through the parade route alongside community organizations and local businesses. The parade begins at St. John's Lutheran Church and concludes near Brandt Funeral Home.

Following the parade, the celebration continues from 5-10 p.m. at the Ross Township Municipal Complex, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, with Ross Township's free Community Day event.

Community Day will feature:

• Live music and entertainment
• Food trucks and sweet treats
• Family-friendly activities and inflatables
• A petting zoo and rock wall
• A dunk tank
• Local businesses and community organizations
• Fireworks after dark

Be sure to stop by the dunk tank between 5 and 5:30 p.m. to cheer on McIntyre Elementary School gym teacher and North Hills alum Kyle Henny as he takes a turn in the hot seat.

Visitors are also encouraged to stop by the North Hills Foundation booth to learn more about how the Foundation supports North Hills students and staff through scholarships, teacher grants and other initiatives. Plus, enter for your chance to win a North Hills swag basket!

Whether you're cheering on the marching band during the parade, dunking Mr. Henny, visiting the Foundation booth or enjoying an evening of food, music and fireworks, we hope to see you there as we celebrate our community together.
