SOCK-tober: North Hills putting best feet forward with districtwide sock drive

SOCK-tober is back for a second year at North Hills but this time we’re expanding the month-long sock drive districtwide!

Held at just the middle school last year, this year, all district buildings will serve as collection sites for new socks of any size through the month of October. Donations will benefit local families through the West View HUB.

Socks are among the most requested items for those in need, making this simple but impactful drive an important way for the community to help.

This year's initiative is once again sponsored by North Hills Middle School Family and Consumer Sciences teachers Megan Didiano and Erin Wachter.

Last year, the middle school alone collected more than 400 pairs of socks.

Didiano and Erin Wachter say something as small as a pair of socks can make a huge difference, and they're excited to see our schools come together again to support our neighbors.

Community members can contribute by sending or dropping off new socks at any North Hills school or the district’s administrative center. Purchases can be made from any store, and all sizes are welcome.

Contact Mrs. Wachter at wachtere@nhsd.net or Mrs. Didiano at didianom@nhsd.net with questions.

Thank you for helping us put our best feet forward!
